There’s a new kind of warmth at Park View Care Centre in Ashford – and it comes with whiskers, four paws, and a whole lot of love! The home is thrilled to introduce Ruby and Tasha, two beautiful cats re-homed from the Ashford branch of the Cats
Protection League.
Their arrival has been months in the making, with the team at Park View putting incredible care and thought into every detail to ensure the cats had the best possible start in their new forever home. From the first spark of the idea, residents, families, and staff were all part of the planning – discussing everything from living arrangements and care routines to toys and entertainment for their new feline friends.
Considerations around health and safety, daily care responsibilities, and how to help the cats settle into the home’s routines were all carefully mapped out. And the result? A calm, loving environment where Ruby and Tasha are already making themselves right at home.
The two cats have quickly become a source of joy and comfort – offering companionship, sparking memories, and giving residents something special to look forward to each day.
Park View’s General Manager Darren shared,
“Every little detail has been considered – this wasn’t just about adopting cats, it was about creating a sense of family and shared purpose. Ruby and Tasha are already so loved.”
The benefits of animal companionship in care settings are well known – from reducing stress and loneliness to bringing a sense of calm and routine. At Park View, the arrival of Ruby and Tasha is more than a feel-good story – it’s a testament to the home’s commitment to providing a vibrant, nurturing, and life-enriching environment for everyone who lives and works there.
