From BBQs and quizzes to certificates and hugs, RCH Care Homes marked Carers Week with heartfelt celebrations to recognise the dedication, professionalism, and compassion of their care teams.
Spanning all 11 of their services, Carers Week was an opportunity for RCH Care Homes to say thank you to the individuals who make a difference every day. Across the week, each home tailored its own celebrations to honour their carers and acknowledge the essential role they play in supporting residents to live with purpose and dignity.
At Orchard House Care Home in Wisbech, the team was treated to a fun-filled week of appreciation including a lively BBQ and quiz night, and a delicious pizza evening – all organised with the help of residents who were eager to show their thanks.
Meanwhile, at Manton Heights Care Centre in Bedford, residents led the way in recognising their carers with personalised ‘thank you’ certificates and warm hugs – a touching reminder of the deep bonds between staff and those they support.
The week also offered a moment to shine a light on the skills, ongoing training, and professional development that RCH’s carers undertake. Many are on structured career pathways, moving into senior roles or specialist areas of dementia and nursing care. It’s this combination of knowledge, compassion, and connection that underpins the high standards of care across the group.
