Residents, families, and staff at Orchard House Care Home in Wisbech came together in September for a lively Summer Party that filled the home’s gardens with colour, music, and community spirit.
The afternoon featured a wonderful mix of entertainment and activities. Visitors browsed arts and crafts stalls, admired beautifully crocheted gifts, and picked up plants to take home. Healthwatch Cambridgeshire and Peterborough joined the event to offer advice and support, while a tombola and raffle added to the fun with plenty of prizes to be won.
Miranda, Lifestyle Lead at Orchard House, said: “Our Summer Party is always a highlight for residents and families, and this
year was no exception. The mix of stalls, entertainment, and the fantastic turnout from the community made it a really special day. Everyone embraced the atmosphere, and it was so lovely to see the gardens full of laughter and smiles.”
Adding to the celebratory atmosphere, the party was honoured by the attendance of The Mayor of Wisbech, Councillor Janet Tanfield, who joined residents and families in enjoying the festivities. Music, laughter, and the smell of delicious refreshments filled the air, creating a joyful event that highlighted the strong sense of community at Orchard House.
General Manager Sarah Watson added: “It was a real honour to welcome the Mayor of Wisbech, Councillor Janet Tanfield, to our Summer Party and to share the day with residents, families, and our community partners. These events are about more than just entertainment — they bring people together, create lasting memories, and showcase the warmth and spirit of life at Orchard House. I’m so proud of the team for creating such a wonderful afternoon for everyone.”
