Manton Heights Care Centre in Bedford has launched a new weekly initiative, inviting local people to enjoy an afternoon tea while finding out more about the home’s
specialist dementia care services.
The Weekly Open Afternoons will be held every Wednesday from 2–4pm, offer an opportunity for individuals and families considering care to visit the home in a relaxed, informal setting. Visitors can meet the friendly team, enjoy freshly baked cakes and a cuppa, and discover how Manton Heights provides person-centred, compassionate care for those living with dementia.
Guests are encouraged to take a guided tour of the home, meet General Manager Vera Moreira, and learn about the wide range of dementia care support available, from residential dementia care to tailored lifestyle activities designed to promote wellbeing and meaningful engagement.
General Manager Vera Moreira said: “We understand that finding the right dementia care can feel overwhelming, and we want to make that journey a little easier. Our weekly afternoon teas are a chance for people to visit without pressure, have open conversations with the team, and see the care and warmth that make Manton Heights such a special place. Sharing a cup of tea often leads to the most reassuring and honest discussions, and that’s exactly what these afternoons are all about.”
