Manton Heights Care Centre recently hosted its much-anticipated annual Christmas fundraising event, welcoming residents, relatives, friends and members of the
local community for an afternoon of festive cheer, music and meaningful connection. Now in its second year, the event once again raised vital funds for Tibbs Dementia Foundation, a charity dedicated to supporting people living with dementia and those who care for them.
Guests enjoyed a £5 entry afternoon that included tea, cake and automatic entry into a festive raffle. Thanks to the generosity of attendees, an impressive £150 was raised for Tibbs, helping to support its ongoing work within the local community.
The event was made even more special by the attendance of Sarah Tibbs, Founder of the charity, who joined residents and guests throughout the afternoon. A particularly memorable moment saw Sarah perform a beautiful song alongside resident Muriel and a Tibbs Dementia Ambassador.
Throughout the afternoon, conversations focused on why Manton Heights remains committed to supporting local organisations such as Tibbs Dementia Foundation, whose work helps people living with dementia to feel connected, supported and understood.
Sian, Lifestyle Lead at the home, added: “Events like this are about more than fundraising – they’re about connection. Seeing residents, guests and Sarah from Tibbs sharing music, laughter and conversation made the afternoon incredibly special. It’s a privilege to support a charity that makes such a positive difference to people affected by dementia.”
The festive raffle proved a highlight, with plenty of happy winners taking home prizes, while guests also enjoyed mince pies, cupcakes, mulled wine and lively conversation. A Christmas jumper competition added extra fun, encouraging everyone to embrace the seasonal spirit.
Daniel, Customer Relations Manager at Manton Heights Care Centre, said: “It was wonderful to see so many people come together again this year to support Tibbs Dementia Foundation. The generosity shown by residents, families and the wider community means a great deal, and raising £150 for such an important cause is something everyone involved can be proud of.”
