Maidstone Care Centre has proudly launched its first Dementia Café, a welcoming new initiative offering support, guidance, and companionship for those living with dementia, their loved ones, and carers in the local community. 
The launch event, being held on Thursday 21st August from 2pm to 4pm, marks the beginning of a monthly café where attendees can share experiences, access helpful resources, and enjoy meaningful conversations in a relaxed and supportive environment.
August’s Dementia Café will feature special guest speaker Diana Moraru-Manole, Operations Director at RCH Care Homes, who will lead an engaging and informative talk on Understanding Dementia.
Anna, General Manager at Maidstone Care Centre, shared her passion for the new initiative:
“We’re incredibly proud to be opening the doors to our very first Dementia Café being held in August. Our aim is to create a safe, warm and inclusive space where people can come together and feel heard. Dementia affects so many families, and we want our community to know they’re not alone—we’re here to listen, support, and walk alongside them on their journey.”

The café will run monthly on every third Thursday of the month at Maidstone Care Centre, 259 Boxley Road, and is free for anyone affected by dementia to attend. Refreshments and a friendly welcome are always guaranteed.
