Manton Heights Care Centre Brings Community Together for Easter Celebrations

Manton Heights Care Centre  in Bedford marked the Easter season with a series of vibrant events, bringing together residents, families, and the local community for meaningful celebrations filled with activity and connection.

The home’s Maulden Community was transformed for a lively Easter party, organised by Lifestyle Leads Sian and Melissa. Residents and guests enjoyed a beautifully prepared buffet created by the home’s chef, Marco, alongside a raffle that raised an impressive £100. Generous prize donations from Tesco and team members added to the excitement of the day.

The event welcomed a fantastic turnout of relatives, including family members of past residents, creating a warm and inclusive atmosphere.

Adding to the Easter festivities, Manton Heights also welcomed children from Busy Bees nursery for a special visit. The day featured an Easter egg hunt, complete with a visit from the Easter Bunny, which brought smiles to residents and children alike. The children spent time visiting residents both in communal areas and in their rooms, sharing songs and laughter.

Sian, Lifestyle Lead, added:“ The Easter party and nursery visit were both fantastic opportunities to bring people together and create special moments. Seeing residents engage with the children, take part in the activities, and enjoy the celebrations really highlights the importance of meaningful activities within the home. It was a truly uplifting few days for everyone involved.”

The afternoon also included an Easter-themed quiz, with plenty of chocolate prizes to be won.

Rachel, General Manager at Manton Heights Care Centre, said: “Events like these are so important in creating a sense of community within the home. It was wonderful to see residents, families, and local children coming together to celebrate Easter. The atmosphere throughout both events was incredibly positive, and it was especially meaningful to welcome back relatives and see everyone enjoying time together.”
