Manton Heights Care Centre Launches Dementia Café to Support Local Community
Manton Heights Care Centre in Bedford is proud to announce the launch of its monthly Dementia Café, a new community initiative designed to offer a welcoming space for open conversation, support, and shared understanding.
Launching on Wednesday 21st May, during Dementia Action Week, the Dementia Café will be held on the last Thursday of every month from 2pm to 4pm, offering families, carers, and members of the community the chance to come together to discuss dementia-related topics in a warm and compassionate environment.
Led by Manton Heights’ knowledgeable and approachable team, the Dementia Café will provide a safe and informal setting to share experiences, ask questions, and gain valuable insights. Whether you’re navigating a recent diagnosis or supporting a loved one with dementia, the café offers an opportunity to feel heard, understood, and connected.
“Our Dementia Café is all about listening, learning, and supporting one another,” said Vera Moreira-Henocq, General Manager at Manton Heights Care Centre. “We understand how overwhelming dementia can be for families, and we wanted to create a space where people feel empowered to speak freely, access guidance, and know they’re not alone.”
This initiative reflects Manton Heights’ ongoing commitment to dementia-friendly care and community outreach. With dementia awareness more important than ever, the launch of the café during Dementia Action Week couldn’t be timelier.
