Heartfelt Support at Orchard House Care Home Enables Resident to Attend Daughter’s Wedding
Orchard House Care Home in Wisbech played a special role in helping one of their residents, Angela Gregory, attend her daughter Susan Gregory’s wedding on
May 3rd at Leverington Church. The dedicated team, including Lifestyle Lead Miranda Robinson and Administrator Kelly Barnes, ensured that Angela could take part in this significant family occasion, creating unforgettable memories for all involved.
Miranda Robinson described it as an absolute honour to help Angela prepare for her daughter’s wedding. “From the moment we helped Angela get ready to the heart-warming moment at the church, every second was filled with excitement. Witnessing Susan Walk down the aisle and say ‘I do’ was truly magical.”
Kelly Barnes shared her joy at capturing the special moments, saying, “It was wonderful to see Angela with both of her daughters at the church, and taking that beautiful photo was something we’ll all treasure. It was simply unforgettable.”
For Angela Gregory, 76, the day was full of emotion. “I was delighted to be able to make it to my daughter’s wedding thanks to the support of the staff. It was absolutely beautiful, and it was the first time I got to see Susan’s wedding dress—when she was walking down the aisle. The colours were perfect, and it was just magical. I found it very emotional but proud.”
Susan Gregory-Martin, the newlywed, expressed her gratitude, saying, “Thank you to all the staff for helping support
mum to be able to attend our wedding. It meant the world to us.”
