Summer Fete Brings Music, Laughter and Plenty of Bunting to Woodlands Care Centre

Woodlands Care Centre embraced the summer spirit with a colourful fete filled with live music, traditional games, delicious food and plenty of community fun.

The home and gardens were transformed for the occasion, with bunting covering almost every available inch and creating a bright and welcoming setting for the celebrations.

Guests enjoyed freshly prepared food from the barbecue while musical entertainer Molly Jane provided the perfect soundtrack to the day. A variety of stalls and activities offered something for everyone, including an adorable crocheted animal stall, tombola, raffle, bric-a-brac sale and the ever-popular “name the teddy” competition.

Visitors also put their estimating skills to the test by guessing how many sweets were in the jar, adding a little friendly competition to an afternoon filled with laughter and conversation.

Sarah, Lifestyle Lead at Woodlands Care Centre, said: “It was wonderful to see the home and gardens filled with so much colour, music and activity. Everyone enjoyed exploring the stalls, joining in with the games and spending time together. A great deal of work went into making the fete special, and seeing so many smiles made it all worthwhile.”

Jessa, General Manager at Woodlands Care Centre, added: “Our summer fete was a fantastic celebration of life at Woodlands. Events like this bring people together and give residents the opportunity to enjoy meaningful moments with those around them. I am incredibly proud of our team for creating such a warm, welcoming and joyful occasion.”

The summer fete formed part of Woodlands Care Centre’s varied programme of activities and events, designed around residents’ interests and opportunities to enjoy shared experiences with family, friends and the wider community.
