Withens Nursing Home kicked off the new year by continuing a growing community tradition, a January Blue Light breakfast hamper drop-off to thank local emergency services for the vital work they do every day.
This month, the team surprised their local ambulance crew with hot breakfast baps and a selection of extra treats, offering a welcome start to what is often a fast paced and demanding shift. The visit follows a similar drop-off to the local fire service last month, with the initiative quickly becoming a firm favourite for everyone involved.
The breakfast deliveries are a simple but meaningful way of recognising the dedication, resilience and compassion shown by Blue Light colleagues across the community. While the gesture may be small, the message behind it is clear; the work carried out by emergency services never goes unnoticed.
Gurpreet, General Manager at Withens Nursing Home, said: “It’s a real pleasure to be able to say thank you to the incredible Blue Light teams who support the community day in, day out. Their commitment and professionalism is inspiring, and if a hot breakfast bap and a few treats can help start the day on a positive note, then it’s more than worth it.”
Withens Nursing Home would like to extend sincere thanks to all Blue Light services for everything they do – true everyday heroes making a difference across the community.
