Woodlands Care Centre Welcomes New General Manager

 Woodlands Care Centre welcomes experienced nurse Jessa Avila as new General Manager

Woodlands Care Centre in Cambridge has welcomed experienced health and social care professional Jessa as its new General Manager.

A Registered General Nurse with more than 15 years’ experience in health and social care, Jessa brings a wealth of clinical knowledge and a strong commitment to compassionate, person-centred care to her new role.

Throughout her career, Jessa’s passion has remained firmly focused on caring for people and making a positive difference to their lives. As General Manager, she will oversee the day-to-day running of Woodlands Care Centre, working closely with residents, their families and the home’s team to ensure everyone receiving care feels safe, respected, valued and truly at home.

Jessa is also passionate about supporting and developing colleagues. She believes that creating a positive working environment, in which team members feel valued and able to thrive, plays an essential role in delivering consistently high standards of care.

Speaking about her appointment, Jessa said: “I am incredibly proud to become the General Manager of Woodlands Care Centre. Caring for people has always been my passion, and it is a privilege to have the opportunity to lead such a kind and dedicated team.

“What makes Woodlands so special is its warm and friendly atmosphere. We work together like one big family, treating every resident with kindness, dignity and respect. Seeing the residents smile and knowing they feel safe, happy and comfortable is what inspires me every day.

“I am looking forward to getting to know every  residents and their families, supporting the continued development of our team and building on everything that already makes Woodlands such a special place to live and work.”

Woodlands Care Centre provides nursing, nursing dementia, residential dementia, respite and end-of-life care within a warm and welcoming environment in the Cambridge area. The home’s team works closely with residents and their loved ones to provide care shaped around each person’s individual needs, choices, interests and life story.

Outside of work, Jessa enjoys singing, taking long walks, travelling and spending quality time with her family and friends.
