Manton Heights Care Centre continues to shine a spotlight on teamwork, creativity and community spirit through its monthly Manton Heights Care Olympic
Challenge. The internal initiative encourages friendly competition between the home’s communities, bringing residents and team members together to take on a new themed challenge each month.
October’s challenge embraced the beauty of the season, with each community tasked with creating an Autumn Decoration Themed Wreath.
Residents and staff worked side by side, sharing ideas, selecting materials and crafting unique designs that reflected the warmth and colours of autumn. The atmosphere across the home was filled with creativity, collaboration and plenty of friendly rivalry as each community brought something different to the table.
After careful consideration, and a very close call, Oakley Community was announced as the winner of October’s challenge. The wreath impressed with its standout design, attention to detail and the strong teamwork that went into its creation. Every community delivered an exceptional effort, making the judging more difficult than ever and showcasing the passion and enthusiasm that the initiative inspires.
General Manager Vera Moreira praised everyone involved, saying:
“The Olympic Challenge is a fantastic way to bring residents and staff together in such a positive, uplifting way. Every community demonstrated incredible creativity and teamwork this month. Oakley Community should be very proud of their achievement, but truly everyone involved made October’s challenge something special.”
The Manton Heights Care Olympic Challenge continues to go from strength to strength, promoting positive engagement, boosting morale and highlighting the
professionalism and dedication of both residents and staff.
With October wrapped up, attention now turns to the next exciting round: the November Cultural Day Challenge. If October is anything to go by, another month of creativity, teamwork and friendly competition is on the horizon.
Congratulations to Oakley Community—and well done to every community for taking part so brilliantly!
