Activities & events
Supporting our residents to enjoy every day living at Maidstone Care Centre is a key focus for our dedicated team.
By getting to know each person, we are able to tailor our activities and events to their likes and dislikes as well as activities they may like to try.
No two days are the same here and, alongside our usual daily hobby-based activities, we also like to host events which are a little out of the ordinary.
In addition to keeping fit with our chair-based exercises, baking, quizzes in our themed pub, movie nights and our knit and natter club, we also take great pleasure in welcoming visiting entertainers, schools, nurseries, therapy animals and groups to our home to enjoy spending time with our residents.

Dementia-friendly activities
Our team takes a considered approach to dementia-friendly activities and meaningful engagement — supporting our residents who live with dementia to still experience happiness, comfort and contentment.
With an in-depth knowledge of people’s life histories, we are able to encourage positive reminiscence and create a safe and supportive environment where people feel comfortable taking part in both familiar and new activities, trips and events.

Meet the Manager
Kerrie McNamara – Maidstone General Manager
I’m proud to be the General Manager at Maidstone Care Centre and passionate about creating a warm, supportive and welcoming environment for everyone who lives and works here.
My experience within the care sector includes working in the community as an Area Manager, managing Live-In Care services and previously being a Registered Manager within a care home setting. I hold an NVQ Level 5 in Social Care, and throughout my career I have always been inspired by helping people enjoy the best possible quality of life.
What I enjoy most about my role is supporting the team to deliver outstanding care and knowing that, together, we can make a genuine difference to residents and their families every day.
One of the things I love most about Maidstone Care Centre is the team spirit. There is a real sense of warmth and dedication from people who genuinely want to be here and are passionate about caring for others.
Outside of work, I’m a Tottenham Hotspur supporter and in 2024 I challenged myself to climb Mount Snowdon. I’m inspired by always striving to be the best version of myself and staying true to who I am
Reviews & Ratings
Don't just take our word for it
Our aunt recently moved into Maidstone Care Centre. It has been rather traumatic for her and us, however, the staff at the home have been brilliant! They have supported both my aunt and us adjust to the change. She is now settling well and we cannot praise the care she is receiving highly enough.
