Residents at Brentwood Care Centre enjoyed a truly memorable festive experience after taking part in filming for this year’s The Only Way Is Essex (TOWIE) Christmas Special, which aired this week.
The care centre welcomed TOWIE cast members Lauren, Livvy and Becks, along with their children, for a heart-warming afternoon of Christmas crafts with residents. The visit brought together residents, families and the cast for a relaxed and joyful session, filled with creativity, conversation and festive cheer.
Residents were thrilled to be involved in the filming and later marked the occasion by hosting their own screening party to watch the episode together. The experience sparked excitement across the home, with many residents still talking about the day and their appearance on television.
Maria, General Manager at Brentwood Care Centre, said: “This was such a special experience for residents and something completely different to enjoy during the festive season. Everyone felt involved, relaxed and genuinely valued throughout the afternoon. Seeing residents’ reactions during filming and again at the screening party showed just how meaningful the experience was.”
The filming was supported by the team at Lime Pictures, with a strong focus on ensuring residents felt comfortable and at ease throughout the process.
Rhiannon, Customer Relations Manager at Brentwood Care Centre, who helped organise the visit, added: “From the very beginning, the aim was to create a positive and enjoyable experience for residents, rather than simply a filming opportunity. The cast and production team were incredibly thoughtful, and the atmosphere on the day was calm, fun and inclusive. It was wonderful to see residents so engaged and excited.”
The visit reflects Brentwood Care Centre’s commitment to providing enriching experiences that support wellbeing, social connection and community engagement, particularly during the festive season.
The care centre has since received positive feedback from residents, families and staff, with many describing the day as a highlight of the Christmas celebrations.
