Withens Nursing Home
in Southfleet has continued its commitment to supporting the local community by delivering a thoughtful Blue Light Breakfast to a nearby fire station, recognising the dedication and hard work of the emergency services.
As part of the home’s ongoing monthly initiative, the team visited the station with a generously prepared breakfast hamper, offering a selection of fresh and convenient items to help keep firefighters fuelled during their demanding shifts.
The hamper included sausage, egg and bacon baps, crispy hash browns, pastries, cakes, cereal bars, fresh fruit and juices, alongside a variety of condiments. To support the team while they are on call, insulated bottles and cups were also included—perfect for keeping drinks warm during busy and unpredictable days.
Firefighters play a vital role within the community, often working in challenging environments and responding to emergencies at a moment’s notice. The visit provided an opportunity for the Withens team to show appreciation for their continued commitment to keeping local people safe.
Gurpreet, General Manager at Withens Nursing Home, said:
“It was a pleasure to visit the local fire station and spend some time with the team. The work they do each day, often in high-pressure and unpredictable situations, is truly admirable. This initiative is a small way of recognising that dedication and saying thank you for everything they do to support the community.”
